Advantages of friction stir welding (FSW) in aluminium welding

The company STIRWELD, well-known actor of the Friction Stir Welding Technology, a green revolution for aluminium and copper welding, would like to present a special welding head to be applied on any type of CNC machine - already used in North America, Germany, Taiwan and many other countries -, resulting in a high-quality precision machining of aluminium and other complex, not easily castable materials.
All the above can constitute an advantage in machining and assembling products like:

  • cold plate,
  • heat sink,
  • cooler,
  • inverter,
  • DC/DC converter;

products for which there seems to be a surge of worldwide demand in the fields of electronic car manufacturing, aerospace, and military industries.
The solution in question is therefore likely to bring added value to companies possessing a CNC machine park and/or those having already considered the introduction of welding workflow processes in order to facilitate supply chains and accelerate manufacturing processes.
